AAIB begins investigations into PIA plane crash occasion.

KARACHI - Aircraft Accident Investigation Board (AAIB) team has commenced its investigations into the Pakistan Air Lines (PIA) plane crash occasion and is collecting evidences from the accident site to resolve the cause of the crash. According to a PIA representative, a ten-member technical team, having capability in handling queries about air crash incidents, has been attached with the investigations to carry the investigation body. The speaker said government has articulated the desire that the investigation team should ensure neutral and transparent inquiry. Muhammad Zubair had been shifted to the Civil Hospital with burn injuries on hands and feet. Now, he has been discharged of first day of Eid-ul-Fitr after achievement of treatment process. Airbus team to enter in Karachi today for research of PIA plane crash.

KARACHI - The team of Airbus will arrive in the port urban to investigate the current crash of one of its own affected aircraft. KP decides to restore public transport, extends public holidays till May 31

PESHAWAR - The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Government has extended public holidays till May 31 across the province. A notification from of Relief and Resettlement Department has been issued in this regard. Meanwhile, a high level meeting of Provincial Task Force having Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan in the chair decided to restore public transport from Monday to facilitate people. The meeting directed all divisional commissioners to examine and finalise restoration of intra and inter-district pubic transport under their original jurisdiction as regional transport offices while looking at the medical advice and administrative measures, said a spokesman of Relief Department in a statement. ISLAMABAD – The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has approved the Emergency Cash Assistance to assist the labour whose livelihoods have been affected by the COVID-19 lockdown imposed to contain the spread of corona infections. While chairing the ECCmeeting in Islamabad, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance and Revenue, Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh. The Prime Minister on 3rd of this month announced that the amount collected through PM’s COVID-19 Pandemic Relief Assistance Fund 2020 will be used to assist the labour whose livelihood have been affected due to lockdown. Provinces, Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK), Gilgit-Batistan (GB) and ICT will be allocated quota in Ehsaas Labour assistance in accordance with their population. Cash disbursement of 12000, rupees (one time assistance) will be made to eligible applicants through existing payment mechanism of BISP.
