Karachi: One of the two lucky persons, who amazingly remained safe in a current tragic incident of plane crash in Karachi, has been discharged from a hospital after treatment. Muhammad Zubair had been shifted to the Civil Hospital with burn injuries on hands and feet. Now, he has been discharged of first day of Eid-ul-Fitr after achievement of treatment process.

Bank of Punjab President Zafar Masud is the second lucky person who survived the plane crash which killed 97 people on board including crew. Masud is under dealing at Daar-ul-Sehat Hospital for his arm and hip fractures. He is in stable condition.

Over Rs 99 billion spent on Diamer Bhasha dam project so far

ISLAMABAD – A sum of Rs 99.238 billion including Rs 93.9 billion for land acquisition on multi-purpose Diamer Bhasha dam project has already been spent so far. Sources told APP here that an amount of Rs 61 billion would be spent on the project during the current fiscal year. Giving the breakup, they said Rs 22 billion would be spent of resettlement while remaining Rs 39 billion would be utilized for construction related activities, they added. They said construction activities on main Diamer Bhasha dam and its allied structures would start during the current fiscal year 2019-20 while project would likely to be completed by March 2028.
