سینٹ پاؤل (01 مئی2020ء) امریکہ کی تاریخ میں پہلی بار لاؤڈ اسپیکر پر اذان کی اجازت دے دی گئی ہے۔ تفصیلات کے مطابق امریکی ریاست منی سوٹا کے حکام نے پہلی بار رمضان المبارک میں لاؤڈ اسپیکر پر اذان کی اجازت دے دی ہے۔ انتظامیہ کی جانب سے اجازت ملنے کے بعد تین شہروں میں ہزاروں افراد نے اذان کی آواز فضاؤں میں گونجتی سنی۔امریکی شہر منیاپولس کی مساجد میں رمضان المبارک کے دوران پانچوں وقت کی اذان لاؤڈ اسپیکر پر دینے کا سلسلہ جاری رہے گا۔ خیال رہے کہ اس سے قبل امریکہ میں صرف اسلامک سینٹرز یا مساجد کے اندر ہی اذان کی اجازت تھی۔ دوسری جانب کورونا وائرس کے باعث امریکا میں مسلسل تیسرے روز تقریباً 2000 کے قریب اموات کے بعد ملک میں ہلاکتوں کی مجموعی تعداد 64 ہزار کے قریب پہنچ گئی ہے۔میڈیارپورٹس کے مطابق جونز ہاپکنز یونیورسٹی کے اعدادو شمارمیں بتایاگیاکہ امریکا میں کورونا وائرس سے متاثرہ افراد کی تعداد 10 لاکھ 95 ہزار 304 تک پہنچ گئی ہے جب کہ اموات کی مجموعی تعداد 63 ہزار 871 ہو گئی ہے۔ ادھر نیویارک میں میتیں رکھنے کی جگہ کم پڑگئی جس کے بعد لاشوں کو کنٹینرز کے اوپر رکھنا شروع کر دیا گیا ۔برطانیہ میں وبا کا نقطہ عروج گزر گیا جب کہ یورپ کے دیگر ممالک میں بھی اموات کی تعداد میں مسلسل کمی واقع ہونے لگی،کئی پورپی ممالک نے عائد پابندیوں میں مزید نرمی کر دی ہے۔ایران میں ہلاکتیں 6 ہزار جب کہ کینیڈا میں اموات کی تعداد 3 ہزار سے اوپر چلی گئی۔ترکی میں بھی کورونا سے ہلاک افراد کی تعداد 3 ہزار 174 ہو گئی جب کہ جرمنی میں اموات ساڑھے 6 ہزار سے زائد ہو گئیں۔دنیا بھر میں کورونا سے اموات کی مجموعی تعداد 2 لاکھ 34 ہزار 250 جب کہ متاثرہ افراد کی تعداد 33 لاکھ 18 ہزار 428 تک پہنچ گئی۔

IAF MiG-29 crashes near Hoshiarpu in Punjab

HOSHIARPUR - An Indian Air Force (IAF) fighter jet has crashed in Punjab today (Friday). According to media reports, the Russian made fighter jet has reportedly crashed in the Rurkee Kalan village in Hoshiarpur district of Punjab, however, the pilots ejected before the plane went down. As per reports, after the mayday situation, the pilots crashed the plane in an open field. The aircraft had developed a technical snag and the pilot ejected safely as he was unable to control the aircraft. The pilot has been rescued by a helicopter. A court of inquiry has been ordered to investigate the cause of accident," the IAF said.

Indian troops martyr key freedom activist in occupied Kashmir

SRINAGAR - In occupied Kashmir, Indian forces martyred one of top freedom activists Riyaz Naikoo and his associate Aadil Ahmed during a cordon and search operation in Pulwama district, on Wednesday. Naikoo, who is considered as successor of Burhan Muzzafar Wani, was gunned down by Indian troops during a "fake encounter" in his native village at Beighpora Awantipore in the district last night. According to Kashmir Media services, the authorities have suspended mobile internet services in the entire occupied territory and curfew like restrictions have been imposed. The 22-year-ol Wani was killed on July 8, 2016, in what many human rights defenders see as an extrajudicial killing.
